You’ve studied hard all week – you can relax now. It’s time to have some fun in sunny Brisbane. Go to the races; visit Warner Brothers Movie World; hit the slides at White Water World; dance all night in a nightclub….or just relax; have a Bar-B-Q with your new ALS friends, enjoy a swim at Southbank - see the sights of Brisbane from a Brisbane River ferry.
Camp on a beautiful island and build valuable friendships that will last a lifetime! You can do all these things while you are studying at ALS Brisbane. Details of all excursions and activities are shown on class notice boards at the beginning of each week.

Queensland’s Great Barrier Reef
Queensland State has many beautiful natural attractions including the Great Barrier (Coral) Reef, which runs for over two thousand kilometres up the coast. The Reef is one of the wonders of the world and a paradise for scuba divers. While you are here, ALS can arrange a scuba diving course with a qualified instructor. You you can obtain an official SCUBA Diving Certificate and dive anywhere in Australia.
The beautiful Queensland Gold Coast and Surfers Paradise with its golden beaches and exciting nightlife, is only one hour away from Brisbane by train or bus. At the Gold Coast, you’ll see many exciting entertainment parks such as Sea World, the largest marine animal park in the southern hemisphere, Warner Brothers Movie World, (Hollywood in Australia), and Dream World. Add to this the numerous native animal and bird sanctuaries, rainforest walks and off-shore islands and you’ll see why students from Australian Language Schools have so much fun on their weekends. Travelling Around Australia: Many students travel around Australia at the end of their course. Our Student Services Officer will be happy to help you plan your travel around Australia and show you where to find reasonably priced air fares and accommodation for your trip.
